My name is Raina. I am 25 years old and I love to write letters. Yes, I am also the kind of person who hasn’t swapped her earphones for AirPods yet, likes the smell of old books and says I love you without reluctance.

But enough about me. Here’s the story of Cheethi.

At 22, I was co-living with a friend. And one night, as it often happens on long nights, we decided to write a letter to ourselves 8 years into the future. I don’t remember much after that (blame the wine) but my letter was three pages long. We sealed these letters in DIY envelopes and gave it to the other for safe keeping. The experience was remarkably cathartic. So cathartic that I have undertaken this exercise several times and also recommended it to friends! Eventually it proliferated and led to me building this platform for you.

I built this platform because every time we plan something for the future, there is an abundance of hope that is set into motion in the universe. And I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you can use this platform as a savings account for your thoughts and that one fine day an email will pop up in your mailbox and shower you with bittersweet memories.

So, why not send a parcel of hope to your future self, a loved one or the world? You never know how much your words could mean to you or someone else in the future.

There, I wrote our story. Now, it’s your turn to tell us yours.
